Rachna Clavero appointed as incoming COG President and CEO

 

TORONTO – Today CANDU Owners Group (COG) announced the appointment of Rachna Clavero to the role of president and CEO, effective December 5, 2022. Clavero is returning to COG following five years with the organization from 2015-2020. Read more.

TORONTO – COG’s five-member board of directors has a new representative. Ontario Power Generation’s Leslie McWilliams has joined the COG board.  Read more.

Liette Lemieux Appointed as Interim COG President & CEO

 

TORONTO – Earlier today, CANDU Owners Group (COG) announced the appointment of Liette Lemieux to the role of Interim President & CEO, effective May 7. Liette will take over the role from Stephanie Smith, who announced her resignation from COG earlier this month; the two will work closely together until Stephanie’s departure on May 6.  Read more.

TORONTO – CANDU Owners Group (COG) President and CEO Stephanie Smith announced her resignation from COG, following two years leading the organization, effective May 6, 2022. “It has been a privilege working with COG’s members,” said Smith. “I have seen first-hand the power of collaboration to generate value and operational excellence for CANDU operators worldwide.” Read more.

Retirement announcement: COG President and CEO, Fred Dermarkar
On Feb. 14, COG and CEO Fred Dermarkar announced his upcoming returement, following six years leading the organization, effective July 31, 2020. "It has been humbling to work with COG members," said Dermarkar. COG announces staffing changes within Joint Projects & Services line of business
COG’s Joint Projects & Services (JP&S) Program Manager Paul Lafreniere has announced his plan to retire from the organization effective February 2020. He has agreed to continue to support various COG initiatives, in a part-time capacity, such as: benchmarking activities, member Q&As and act as a senior advisor supporting JP&S. Read more.

COG welcomes new procurement manager
In keeping with its commitment to continuously strengthen its business efficiency processes, COG has hired a new strategic sourcing and procurement program manager effective Dec. 2, 2019. Dan Prentice will join the Corporate Services and Finance team reporting directly to John Moore, Director of Corporate Services and CFO. Read more.

COG names new R&D program manager
COG has announced that Yevgeniya Le will be joining the COG R&D team as program manager for health, safety and environment effective Monday, Nov. 25, 2019. Yevgeniya's background is well-suited to the role she will take on at COG and aligns to a strong focus area for many of COG's members. Read more.

COG veteran takes lead on fuel channel and spacer life management projects
Harry Sherwood has rejoined COG as a project manager for fuel channel and spacer life management (FCLM and SLM). Harry’s first day in this role was Monday, Nov. 18 and he will serve in this capacity while Thanuja Janathasing is on maternity leave. Read more.
